Art Supplies

Art supplies may be used for many different techniques. Some items are absolutely necessary for certain forms of art. Other supplies simply serve to enhance the creative process.

Paints, paintbrushes, mixing mediums and surfaces are basic examples of painting art supplies. Surfaces include such things as paper, canvas, or wooden panels. These surfaces may also be used for drawing. Drawing utensils include pencils (or graphite,) pastels, charcoal, inks and erasers.

Painting and drawing are two of the most common forms of art. However, there numerous other art forms. Sculpture, printmaking, photography, and digital art are just a few examples, each with their own subcategories. Each subcategory will also require its own range of art supplies.
